A subtly sweet combination of citrus and natural tangy kombucha, finished with hints of tropical passionfruit and guava. Blend of American imperial stout and Belgian-inspired dark ale aged in bourbon barrels. Produced in the tradition of 18th Century English brewers who supplied the court of Russia’s Catherine the Great, Old Rasputin seems to develop a cult following wherever it goes. It’s a rich, intense brew with big complex flavors and a warming finish. The sour, salty base beer lays down the funky refreshment, while a heavy dose of passion fruit.

A light, refreshing wheat ale with lots of fresh mango & a slightly tart finish. Subtle malt sweetness is balanced by a touch of hops, creating a versatile beer with a clean finish. A malty beer that uses its hop flavor to complement and enhance its chocolate and caramel characters. A gold-colored, light-bodied German-style beer with crisp, floral hop aroma. Patrick, who is a certified cicerone and publican, is in charge of the cellar as well as writing the beer menus at both locations. Guests will find 50 tap handles of which 80 percent are rotating, more than 70 bottles of rare beer, an entire serving staff of Certified Beer Servers and a Certified Cicerone.

Aged for three months in Wild Turkey® Bourbon barrels, this luxurious stout has a deep ebony hue and a beautiful mahogany head. Big boozy bourbon and American oak aromas combine with soft chocolate malt undertones. Complex malt flavors framed in oak with hints of dark chocolate, vanilla, toasted coconut and a touch of dark cherry.

Like its sister restaurant, The Blackbird is a Certified Green Restaurant with a 4 Star rating. Everything on the menu is from scratch using local and regional ingredients as much as possible. The food is primarily based on Chef Molly Patrick’s Southern-Georgian roots, with traditional Southern food menu items and Southern-fusion creations. To complement the food, guests can choose from more than 150 rare and imported bottled beers, with the same standards for beer service as Manito. Rich flavors of baked apple and pear, layered with toasted oak, notes of caramel and brown spice with a smooth, lingering finish. The apple character marries with the added fruit to create a balanced flavor.

To complement the beer, The Blackbird has a NorCal Ovenworks Santa Maria Grill and Cookshack wood pellet smoker. Close to 80 percent of The Blackbird’s menu items include something that is cooked with wood! Depending on the dish, you’ll be treated to the flavors of mesquite, cherry, Applewood or pecan, with “a rich smokiness the most pervasive flavor,” Patrick says.

Manito Tap House, located in the South Hill, just celebrated their sixth anniversary this fall. A very dark, full-bodied, roast ale with a complementary oatmeal flavor. The tropical tones of passion fruit, orange, and gooseberry aren’t far behind. A kombucha/ale hybrid combining brewing techniques from craft beer with traditional kombucha fermentation.

Maui Gold Pineapple gives sweet aroma to this smooth-bodied tropical brew. An intensely hoppy pale ale with minimal malt character, designed to showcase its strong hop flavors. A light pink wine with flavors of red fruit, flowers, citrus, and melon. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavor, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with emphatic, steel dryness. An ale that is light and crisp while medium-bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.
